Following the world-wide coronavirus pandemic, in Mexico, banks have closed some of their branches to avoid contagion in the country.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) that exists in the country, banks ask customers to carry out their procedures in digital banking and/or online banking, to avoid crowds and the spread of the virus.

Banking institutions offer their clients to check balances, transfers, payments, investments, lock, unlock, changes and activations from the App that each bank has.

Banks will offer clients who attend branches, measures established by the Secretary of Health; as antibacterial gel l, a separation between users and the least number of workers.

Citibanamex reported that it will follow up on the sanitary measures, internal contingency plan, they will apply telework in the corporate offices, they will have protocols to avoid conglomerations and it will suspend activities in 330 branches. Those that remain open will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Santander requests that its clients only attend, those whose process requires physical presence, because they will work with fewer staff and only 10 people will be allowed access within its facilities from Monday to Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. hours.

HSBC commented that due to the coronavirus pandemic in the country, it will temporarily close 29 branches located in the State of Mexico, Guanajuato and Mexico City. Those that remain open will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and those that will open on Saturdays will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

BBVA México informed that 174 units will suspend activity. Those that remain open will be from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with the protocols established by the Secretary of Health and will avoid concentrations.

Scotiabank will give priority to the most vulnerable population, it will follow the health protocols from 9:00 to 16:00.
