Authorities arrested Miguel “N”, alleged supect of killing Milagros in León, Guanajuato

Guanajuato authorities confirmed the arrest of Miguel “N”, the subject who allegedly stabbed and killed Milagros Monserrat, in León.

Through his social networks, the governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodríguez, confirmed the arrest of the alleged attacker and thanked the citizens and local authorities for their support to achieve the apprehension.

The detainee allegedly murdered the woman, identified as Milagros Monserrat, in the streets of the Granada neighborhood.

The events were recorded on the street of Lago de Zumpango, around 06:33 last Thursday, August 10th. The events were captured by a security camera installed on private property.

The victim was approached by a male subject dressed in a lemon-green shirt and dark pants. The young woman stated that she did not have valuables and tried to free herself from the subject, who stabbed her several times.

The woman bled to death on the spot, while the subject fled the site at an accelerated pace.

The León Security Secretariat reported that the attack was caused by “apparent personal quarrels.”

It is ruled out that the fact is derived from a patrimonial crime, since it was a direct attack, due to apparent personal quarrels. We collaborate with the State Attorney General’s Office in clarifying this crime and that the person responsible is brought to justice,” the authority explained.

Governor Diego Sinhué stated for his part that the attack will not go unpunished and demanded that the Guanajuato Prosecutor’s Office, as well as society, support locating the attacker.
