Armed men assaulted the municipal president of Doctor Mora, Édgar Javier Reséndiz Jacobo, early Thursday morning on the Salamanca-Celaya highway; they stole his truck with shouts and threats.
The Morena councilor was traveling with his wife in a gray Mazda CX9 vehicle, when the criminals blocked their way, then threatened them with long weapons and forced them to get out of the vehicle.
A subject started the Mazda truck followed by his accomplice.
The robbery occurred in the first minutes of January 16, 2025, in the community of Godoy, near the Harinera Pirineos, of this municipality governed by Mayor César Prieto, also from Morena.
