Four women and five men were murdered yesterday in six municipalities in the state of Guanajuato, the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) reported.
The nine homicides were committed in Irapuato, León, Celaya, Apaseo el Grande, Valle de Santiago, and San Felipe, according to the report.
In the Barrio de la Calzada neighborhood of Guanajuato and in Nueva Reforma Agraria, two women and a man were killed; one woman was injured.
Meanwhile, in the Rivera de la Presa and Valle Delta neighborhoods of León, a woman and a man were murdered.
In the Latino neighborhood of Celaya, a woman identified as María Guadalupe was killed.
