This is an event that brings together runners aged 35 and older, and this year brought together more than 200 participants from different categories.

During the event, José Cruz González Barrera, head of the Municipal Sports Commission (Comude), highlighted the importance of this competition for the sports community: “This race is already 39 years old; it’s practically the beginning of what the national holidays are for us athletes, a prelude to the symbolic race. Runners aged 35 and older begin to “excite” each other, in categories ranging from 35 to 60 and over. This year we had an average of between 200 and 250 participants. Mauricio Trejo is the only president, nationwide, of the more than 2,400 municipalities that promotes, oversees, and invests in sports. When we need support for these activities, the resources are always available to help athletes develop.”
