On Tuesday night, several violent incidents were reported in various parts of San Miguel de Allende, prompting a mobilization of security forces, emergency services, and law enforcement authorities.
One of the incidents occurred in the Independencia neighborhood, on Fray Juan de San Miguel Street, where a man identified as Francisco died after being stabbed during a fight.

According to initial reports to the 911 Emergency System, neighbors requested assistance after observing a person with a chest wound and active bleeding, presumably resulting from a fight.
Municipal police officers and Red Cross paramedics arrived at the scene and found the man lying in the street. After assessing the situation, it was confirmed that he had no vital signs.
Preliminary reports indicate that the attack occurred during a fight between the victim and another individual, who allegedly used a knife to injure him. The area was cordoned off, and the State Attorney General’s Office was notified to begin the corresponding investigations.
Minutes later, gunshots were also reported on Purísima Street, in the area known as Las Cuevitas, where a woman was wounded by gunfire.
Security personnel and paramedics arrived at the scene and provided pre-hospital care to the woman before transporting her to a hospital for medical treatment.
Later, another man with gunshot wounds was found on Héroe de Nacozari Street, in the Ejido de Tirado. According to initial investigations, both men were wounded in the same attack that occurred in Las Cuevitas.

Also that same night, an attack was reported in the community of Maravillas, where a man was injured and had to be hospitalized.
Following these events, the San Miguel de Allende Secretariat of Citizen Security reported progress and updates on the investigations related to the recent incidents in the municipality.
The agency stated that, regarding the case of the man injured in the community of Maravillas, it was confirmed that the alleged assailant is a relative of the victim and is currently at large.
As part of the investigation and search efforts, authorities located the abandoned pickup truck in which the assailant allegedly fled after the attack. The vehicle was found in the community of El Águila, near Corral de Piedras.
The Secretariat of Citizen Security indicated that the injured person remains hospitalized and his condition is reported as serious, though stable.
Regarding the homicide resulting from the knife fight in the Independencia neighborhood, the agency reported significant progress in the investigation and that it is maintaining constant coordination with the State Attorney General’s Office to strengthen the case file.
Regarding the incident in Las Cuevitas, where two people were injured by gunfire, authorities stated that they currently lack precise information about the assailants, who allegedly arrived at the scene on a motorcycle.
According to initial lines of investigation, the attack may be related to drug dealing, based on a history of involvement with one of the injured individuals.
The Secretariat of Citizen Security also reported that both individuals sustained minor injuries and are currently out of danger.
Finally, the agency reiterated its ongoing coordination with law enforcement authorities to clarify the various incidents that occurred Tuesday night and to continue security operations in the municipality.
