The National Meteorological Service reported that it will be because the center of Hurricane Rick category 2, on the Saffir-Simpson stair, made landfall in Michoacán.

To the north, a dry line will remain over the northeast of Mexico and will cause strong winds and a new cold front will approach the northwest of the country.
