Guanajuato, Mexico.- During the first days of 2024, Guanajuato began the year marked with violence after the murder of six people on January 1. Violence in Guanajuato, despite the efforts of the authorities, continues to be a challenge that demands responses and new strategies.
It is worth mentioning that three of the six victims were found in Villagrán. The bodies of the three men between 25 and 30 years old were located on the side of the Celaya-Salamanca Pan-American Highway, near the community of Sarabia, in front of the “En Delfín” bus stop.
In the first homicide of 2024, the victim in León was located inside a suitcase, with signs of violence, at La Floresta neighborhood. Just last December 24, a bag with human remains was abandoned in the same place.
The discovery occurred at 12:20 at night when the residents of Río Conchos Street were celebrating the beginning of the new year, the children were setting off fireworks and everything was going normally. However, they realized that the crew members of a van arrived a few meters from the old Plaza San Miguel and saw that a suitcase and black bags were being unloaded.
It was on Christmas Day when the crew members of a truck also arrived at Río Conchos Street and had left a container with a body inside.
The lifeless bodies of three men were located on the side of the Celaya-Salamanca Pan-American Highway, near the community of Sarabia, Villagrán, Guanajuato.
The bodies of the three men between 25 and 30 years old were abandoned in front of the “En Delfín” whereabouts. At the moment the identity of the three men is unknown and whether they are residents of Sarabia, the community or if they just left the bodies there.
The events were reported minutes after 3:00 p.m. this Monday, January 1st, when motorists passing through the area saw the bodies of three men, who showed signs of violence and gunshots.
