Following the case of a virtual kidnapping of a young girl reported over the weekend in the La Vista subdivision in San Miguel de Allende, citizens have expressed their concern because the day after the incident, a young man was reported missing, who joins two minors for whom an Amber Alert has already been activated.
On Saturday around 3 pm, in WhatsApp groups of neighbors of the La Vista subdivision, located on the highway to Dolores Hidalgo, it was reported that a young woman who had recently graduated from high school named María Edith had been kidnapped after going to the Oxxo in the area.
The news caused alarm among the population, so it began to be shared on social networks, even indicating that a ransom had been requested for the minor.
Hours later, it was announced that the young woman had been located and it was confirmed that she had been the victim of a virtual kidnapping where, through a call, the victim received threats to remain incommunicado while the family was contacted to request money.
Other young people disappear
On Sunday afternoon, through social networks, support was requested to locate the young Francisco Eduardo, who had disappeared around 4 in the afternoon.
In the publications it was indicated that it was feared that he was the victim of a virtual kidnapping, because his parents had received a call requesting a ransom for him. So far it is unknown if the young man is still missing.
