“We are very excited to welcome you to this wonderful International Balloon Festival,” said the governor of Guanajuato, Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo, at the inauguration of “The Festival of Festivals.”
She added that “today Guanajuato welcomes you with open arms, we welcome those who visit us from Mexico and the world.”
“This event is for families, we come here to spend time with our sons, daughters, grandmothers and grandfathers, parents.
“May it be a festival that you enjoy to the fullest, and may we be able to see this sky surrounded by those we love the most, and be able to see how these more than 200 balloons rise in the sky of León,” she said.
The governor recognized the work of the FIG organizers, who during this edition that will take place from November 15 to 18 are expected to have an influx of 400 thousand visitors and an economic impact of 800 million pesos.
“Let’s take advantage of this weekend long weekend to enjoy the wonders that Guanajuato offers us, and let us remember that in this Government the most important thing is its People, long live the People of Guanajuato and long live the Balloon Festival,” said Libia Dennise.
