An armed group set fire to a passenger truck on the Yuriria-Salvatierra highway, in the community of Cupareo, hours after the confrontation that left eight civilians dead and three state police officers injured early Monday morning in the Buena Vista community of this city.
Around 2:30 p.m., a commando forced the passengers to get off the bus, in the section of the Cupareo community; they crossed the unit in the two lanes of traffic and set it on fire.
The suspects threw tire-puncturing stars during the escape, which caused damage to the tires of at least two vehicles that approached the burning truck.
Civil Protection and Firefighters elements came to put out the flames, while members of the National Guard Roads Division cordoned off the area.
