A wonderful space creates an atmosphere where contemporary art, luxury, and tradition merge to create a beautiful wine cellar in the Casa 1810 Reserva de la Familia Tasting Room.
This small interior retreat is part of the travel experience offered by this charming boutique hotel in San Miguel de Allende, where the presentation of the new box of premium agave elixir took place.
It was in 1995, celebrating its 200th anniversary, when José Cuervo decided to create the first extra-aged tequila in history. Before that, the category simply didn’t exist. At that time, the Reserva de la Familia brand also emerged.

Since then, this brand has distinguished itself by delivering an exquisite and elegant liquid, and also by forging surprising collaborations with renowned artists, who are in charge of the packaging design.
This year, 2025, Ana Segovia will deliver spectacular boxes that house the different bottles of tequila. The artist’s practice, whose works are part of the collections of institutions such as the Denver Art Museum and the Pérez Art Museum Miami, is characterized by revisiting images from the Golden Age of Mexican cinema and Westerns. Therefore, he revived these symbols to create a collection titled “No, Miss, Those Colors Are Prohibited,” which reflects the renowned Mexican charro costume, albeit infusing it with bright and strident colors such as blue or Mexican pink. The aim is to question the conventions related to masculinity and the attire used in charrería.

Afterwards, all that’s left is to participate in an enriching tasting in the Casa 1810 Reserva de la Familia Tasting Room and try an extra añejo aged in new American and French barrels, imbuing it with notes such as vanilla and caramel. And, like all good tequila, it’s best served neat, but well accompanied.
UNDER THE SHELTER OF THE NIGHT

During the event in San Miguel de Allende, the first anniversary of Terraza Tené was also celebrated at Casa 1810 Parque. There, you can enjoy an unparalleled atmosphere, especially as the evening begins to fall and night falls, with unparalleled views of what has been considered the best city in the world, with its imposing colonial architecture. All this is accompanied by a culinary offering composed of casual dishes and exquisite mixology.
This can also be enjoyed at Tené Kitchet & Bar, led by Executive Chef Erick Martínez, where a selection of comfort food dishes, such as tacos, aguachiles, ceviches, and tostadas, is on offer.
