Eleven National Guard members arrested for fuel theft in Guanajuato

The Apaseo El Alto Police arrested 11 National Guard (GN) members who were allegedly involved in fuel theft in the El Espejo community.

On the Celaya-Palmillas bypass, near the El Espejo community, the Municipal Police found a fuel tanker connected to an illegal tap, apparently guarded by patrol cars and GN officers.

The detained federal officers were identified as Cristian, Daniel, Carlos, Erick, Miguel, Fernando, Julio César, Brayan, Juan, Iván, and Josué.

The officers were seized nine rifles, two patrol cars, a fuel tanker, and a pickup truck.

The detainees, the weapons, and the seized vehicles were handed over to the Attorney General’s Office.
