Guanajuato, the only state with all its municipalities connected to the State Surveillance System

Thanks to a coordination and collaboration agreement on Public Security and Technology, Guanajuato has established itself as the only state in the country to integrate its 46 municipalities into the State Surveillance System.

This agreement will allow for the operation of the Comprehensive State Technology Service (SITE), a strategic network that strengthens security with 14 technological tools focused on prevention, emergency response, and crime prevention.

Advanced technology to increase security in Guanajuato
The SITE integrates urban video surveillance, expansion of road arches at strategic points, a network of panic buttons in high-risk areas, and drones in areas with a high incidence of crime.

With this network, municipal corporations will be directly connected to the C5i Unified Command Center. Intelligence, investigation, citizen service, and tactical coordination operations are concentrated there.

The goal is to ensure faster responses, greater prevention capacity, and reliable technological protection for the benefit of Guanajuato families.

Guanajuato: Sustained Reduction in Crime Rates

During the announcement, it was highlighted that September 2025 was the month with the fewest intentional homicides in the last eight years, with a total of 150 victims.

This represents a 47% reduction compared to September 2024. With these advances, Guanajuato ranks sixth nationwide in the rate of victims per 100,000 inhabitants, according to preliminary figures from the National Security Roundtable.

Coordination between Municipalities and the State

The Secretary of Security and Peace, Juan Mauro González Martínez, emphasized that the connection of the 46 municipalities with the state allows for faster and more effective information processing.

Every technological tool, from surveillance cameras to radio communication systems and highway arches, becomes a resource to offer better responses and strengthen citizen peace.

The purpose of this infrastructure is clear: to standardize public safety solutions with modern and reliable technology that delivers tangible results in the short and long term.

With this action, Guanajuato takes a historic step forward in security, consolidating its position as a national benchmark in the use of technology for crime prevention and citizen protection.
