This weekend, air patrols began using helicopters to reinforce security tasks in Guanajuato.

The Government of the State of Guanajuato ordered that air patrol work began last Friday, through the use of four helicopters equipped with the navigation technology and the video surveillance tools necessary to move over the state territory.

The air patrol will have a large participation in the planning of police operations to optimize all the air surveillance capacity in order to contribute to the strengthening of the conditions of peace and tranquility for Guanajuato.

For this reason, during the next two months, daytime activities will be carried out through overflights to establish operational routes.

In this way, the objectives outlined are to carry out reconnaissance overflights in urban areas, location of critical points, carry out air operations in areas of crime incidence in priority attention municipalities, integrate technological tools to face ordinary and emerging situations that threaten security under any scenario, and implement reactive strategies to respond immediately to emerging situations in areas of difficult land access and/or in high-impact situations, in order to guarantee the protection of citizens.
