The Secretariat of Tourism of the state of Guanajuato, through the Marketing Directorate, showcases its tourist offer in the states of Aguascalientes, Mexico City, Jalisco, Nuevo León, Querétaro, San Luis Potosí, and Zacatecas.
As part of the strategy to consolidate the positioning of the Guanajuato Tourism Brand “Live Great Stories” in the national market, SECTUR promotes during this month of August, September, October, November, and December, the diversification of tourism products and experiences in the state of Guanajuato.”
Through this national activation project, which consists of a pair of large-format axis: one alluding to the Guanajuato singer-songwriter José Alfredo Jiménez and another from the Tourist Brand, and a volumetric bottle labeled -with a central screen- with graphics alluding to the oenological segment, Guanajuato started the tourist tour. In addition, they have QR codes integrated so that travelers can scan and see the entire offer of the state.
Encouraging travelers to know Guanajuato destinations is one of the main objectives for SECTUR, which has implemented the “Guanajuato Sano Distinction” that establishes good practices in the tourism sector and provides travelers with greater security against COVID-19. Today there are already more than 3,000 companies that are trained to be a safe establishment.
Guanajuato wants to generate an alliance in terms of Tourism with Jalisco, Aguascalientes, August-September; Zacatecas, September; Nuevo León, Monterrey, September-October; San Luis Potosí, October; Querétaro, November; and Mexico City.
These states are 5 hours away from Guanajuato, by car; except for Monterrey, which extends a distance of around 8 hours by car, however, the Guanajuato International Airport offers flights to and from this important destination.
