“Viva la Vid”, the traditional grape harvest of Viñedo San Miguel

A unique experience that begins with the wine process and ends with the tasting… 

With the aim of continuing a long tradition, Viñedo San Miguel will celebrate its traditional Harvest 2023 “Viva la Vid” in collaboration with the Cuadra group, on September 2, inviting them to spend a very special afternoon in which each attendee will be able to live incredible experiences. surrounded by an atmosphere of music, party and wine. 

In addition, they will be able to enjoy special dishes from the Trasiego restaurant, crushing grapes, live music, workshops, a VSM commemorative cup, a hat, a glass holder, as well as a bottle from Viñedo San Miguel. 

The history of Viñedo San Miguel 

The history of Viñedo San Miguel begins in Villa Petriolo, a sister winery and one of the oldest in Europe, which, in search of expansion, found in the lands of San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato the ideal geographical and climatic characteristics for cultivation.  

Viñedo San Miguel is the largest vineyard in the state of Guanajuato, and is located just 15 minutes from the center of the city of San Miguel de Allende, where tours are offered throughout the year with 3 different experiences that you have to live: 

The San Bartolo Experience, the Petriolo Experience and the San Miguel Experience. Each one with different amenities in which you can get to know the vineyard and the winery, living step by step each part of the process of our wines, which you can taste at the end of each of the tours.  

Inside the winery is the Trasiego restaurant, where you can find delicious signature dishes made with typical ingredients from the state of Guanajuato, led by Chef David Quevedo, world award-winning chef. 

Viñedo San Miguel rigorously takes care of every detail of the process in its wines, which are made under an ideal atmosphere, which led them to win more than 34 awards with gold and silver medals in the most prestigious world-class competitions. 

It is worth mentioning that currently 13 different wines are offered in the Vineyard: Malbec, Malbec Reserva, Carbonico, Blancs, Blend, Blend Reserva, Rose, Cabernet Sauvignon 2020, Latiendo 2021, Merlot 2020, Nébula 2020, Piedra de Oro 2020 and Syrah 2020.
