The 2024 edition of North America’s 50 Best Bars took place in the enchanting city of San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, leaving a lasting impression on attendees. Known for its unparalleled hospitality and picturesque settings, San Miguel de Allende played host to this prestigious event, which celebrated the finest bars and cocktail establishments across the continent.
For the second time, this UNESCO World Heritage City became the venue for the awards ceremony, where industry leaders and enthusiasts gathered to honor excellence in mixology. The vibrant and competitive atmosphere of the North America’s 50 Best Bars 2024 unfolded over three days, showcasing Mexican bars from states like Oaxaca, Yucatán, Mexico City, and Guadalajara, all of which secured their spots on the coveted list.
Professionals from North America’s beverage industry, specialized media, and cocktail enthusiasts converged to explore the latest trends and savor some of the most innovative drinks on the continent.
In this edition, San Miguel de Allende took center stage. Among the 15 winning Mexican bars was “Bekeb”, located within the boutique hotel Casa Hoyos. For the first time, this bar secured its place in the international ranking, claiming the 27th spot. Bekeb’s artisanal cocktail bar reconnects with the authentic aromas and flavors that characterize the region and Mexico as a whole.
