Chickens, clowns, trolls, fantastic characters, minions, animals, pirates, scarecrows and even police officers were represented in the colorful event on the streets of San Miguel de Allende
In San Miguel de Allende, the festive atmosphere is already felt before the Sunday of the Convite de Locos. With the objective of encouraging the participation of the little ones in the local traditions on June 13, the day of San Antonio de Padua, the Loquitos parade was held, in which the little students of the municipality’s kindergartens participated.
Dressed in colorful costumes and with backpacks in front to have the candy at hand to throw to the spectators, hundreds of children, between three and six years old, left the Juárez park heading for the atrium of San Antonio filling the streets with music and color.

Chickens, clowns, trolls, fantastic characters, minions, animals, pirates, scarecrows and even policemen were represented in the different groups that were guided by the teachers, also dressed up and who enthusiastically invited the children to dance while they made the journey.
Parents also joined in the celebration, some dressed up and others just accompanying the ‘crazy ones’ from afar, filling their children’s backpacks with the candy that the kids threw with open hands.
17 kindergartens from the municipality participated in the parade, each one with its own sound car that marked the rhythm with which the colorful groups moved.
According to local authorities, approximately 1,500 children participated in this ‘mini-party’.
