Guanajuato received two awards in the ninth edition of the Food and Travel Reader Awards 2024: Best Adventure and Nature Proposal and Best Boutique Hotel in a Magical Town or Colonial City for the Hotel Rosewood San Miguel de Allende.
The Secretariat of Tourism and Identity of Guanajuato highlighted the importance of the award in the adventure and nature category, highlighting the diversity of activities offered by the state.
“Visitors can enjoy horseback riding, rappelling, hiking, community tourism, rafting, ATV tours, bird watching and experiential workshops,” the agency reported.
To strengthen this segment, the Secretariat has implemented the Tourism Competitiveness Model, which includes training and certification programs, as well as support for the equipment and digitalization of tourism companies.
“The objective is to improve the quality of service and strengthen the competitiveness of the sector,” the institution said.
On the other hand, the Hotel Rosewood San Miguel de Allende was recognized for its architecture and service in the boutique hotel category.
“This award reflects the charm and architectural preservation that characterizes San Miguel de Allende,” said the organizers of the contest.
These awards, the agency assures, consolidate Guanajuato as a relevant destination in the areas of adventure tourism and luxury hospitality in Mexico.
