A father of a family and his baby that he was holding in his arms were murdered while they were in a taquería located in San Miguel de Allende.
A baby was murdered in San Miguel de Allende on Wednesday night. The minor and his father were having tacos for dinner when armed individuals attacked them from a truck. San Miguel de Allende has already registered 32 intentional homicides so far this year, two of them on the same Wednesday.
The events occurred shortly before 12 at night. The man was holding the baby while they were eating tacos when they received the bullets.
The father of the family was slightly injured, so he managed to get into his truck with the baby to drive through the Manuel Zavala bypass and he was able to reach the Red Cross facilities.
The one-year-old boy died due to the seriousness of his injuries, since a bullet pierced his skull from the nape, while his father, dying of sadness, survived the bullets.
Although the Guanajuato State Attorney General’s Office is already investigating the facts, at the moment the motive for the intentional homicide is unknown.
On the same Wednesday and in the same San Antonio neighborhood, a 35-year-old man was murdered. His body was left lying on Santa Lucía street.
The World Heritage City is no longer a safe population, since not only have executions been normalized, but extortion and robberies are also registered.
