The 2025 edition of the International Cervantino Festival (FIC) is approaching. This year, Guanajuato will have the United Kingdom and Veracruz as guest countries and states, respectively.
The famous festival will feature Julieta Venegas and Damon Albarn, vocalist of Blur and Gorillaz.
When will the 2025 International Cervantino Festival be held?
October is approaching, and, like every year, the state of Guanajuato will be graced with a new edition of the International Cervantino Festival. This 53rd edition of the festival will be held from October 10 to 26, 2025.
During the press conference held at the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City, the organizers announced that this edition of the legendary festival will feature 120 live events, as well as online broadcasts.
The International Cervantino Festival will feature free activities, as well as paid activities, with prices ranging from 150 to 1,200 pesos.
Which artists will be present at the International Cervantino Festival and which will be the guest country?
This 2025, the guest country is the United Kingdom. The guest state of the Republic will be Veracruz.
Among the participating artists is Julieta Venegas, who will perform on October 23 with the University of Guanajuato Symphony Orchestra.
Another of the major figures who will be present at the Cervantino Festival is Damon Albarn, who will perform on October 26 with his project Africa Express, which also features Mexican artist Luis Almaguer.
Both concerts will be held on the Esplanade of the Alhóndiga de Granaditas. Tickets for some of these performances are now available through Ticketmaster.
