Children from various SMA kindergartens participated in a parade that united culture, tradition, and creativity, highlighting the importance of transmitting values to new generations.

San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato—The streets of San Miguel de Allende were filled with color and music during the Dance Parade organized by the municipal DIF (District of Inquiry), in which children from Casa Esperanza and various kindergartens in the area participated.

The parade began in front of the DIF (District of Inquiry) facilities and ended at the Main Garden, where families and neighbors gathered to celebrate the children’s creativity and enthusiasm.

One of the most striking elements of the parade were the paper stars, figures handmade by the children themselves and their educational communities.

Each star symbolizes light, hope, and spiritual guidance, evoking the protection of Saint Michael the Archangel, highlighting the value of tradition and the creativity that the children put into each piece.

During the tour, the children performed dances and choreographies that reflected the cultural richness of San Miguel de Allende, while residents and visitors applauded their efforts and enthusiasm.

The event was not only a showcase of talent, but also an opportunity to strengthen cultural identity and community values among younger generations.

DIF officials proudly noted that activities like this help keep traditions alive while encouraging children’s active participation in the city’s social and cultural life.

For many of the parents and educators present, seeing the children involved in creating the paper stars and performing the dances represents the continuity of a legacy passed down from generation to generation.
